‘Creating the Anthem’ is a short film produced by Northern Ireland Opera about the process to create ‘White Ribbon’.
‘White Ribbon’ is a collaborative anthem created by Women’s Aid ABCLN, Northern Ireland Opera and the Ulster Orchestra reflecting the voices and experiences of women affected by domestic abuse, in support of the White Ribbon campaign to end male violence against women.
Filmed in in the Ulster Museum, it features live performance of the ‘White Ribbon’ anthem along with interviews with co-writer and pianist Ruth McGinley, vocalist Jolene O’Hara and Cliona Donnelly, General Manager with Northern Ireland Opera talking about the project and what the ‘White Ribbon means to them.
‘White Ribbon’ will be available to download from 9th April with proceeds supporting Women’s Aid-# ABCLN.
